The e-learning unit, within the College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine ‘s Learning Technology Section (LTS), is seeking to recruit an e-learning systems developer to build, maintain and support computer based teaching and learning resources to support medical, veterinary and other healthcare education both within the University and in partnership with our portfolio of external partners.
The successful candidate will have a degree in a related subject and demonstrable ability in a range of technical development skills including object oriented PHP, JavaScript, and CSS. Also desirable would be experience with PHP frameworks, ASP/VB Script, JavaScript libraries (e.g. jQuery), andASP.NET.

Candidate Attributes:

Amazon’s Development Centre is located here:  Waverley Gate,  2 – 4 Waterloo Place,  Edinburgh EH1 3EG.  It’s an excellent location, it’s as close to Waverley railway station as any office can be!

The on-site amenities are fantastic – we were lucky enough to have enjoyed a short tour of the facility earlier this month!  It’s not all about work work work: there’s recreational space (with a pool table!), a library of books and a fully-equiped kitchen and break-out area.  The office environment is relaxed and offer peace and quiet when required.  There’s a huge writeable wall too – great for planning the next big thing!
