Job in Edinburgh: PHP, CSS, ASP, SQL

The e-learning unit, within the College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine’s Learning Technology Section, is seeking to recruit an e-Learning Systems Support Officer to maintain, support and test a wide range of network technology applications. These platforms include core college Virtual Learning Environments and their associated tools, Online Distance Education resources, and a broad portfolio of external projects undertaken by the unit. The successful candidate will have exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, and will hold highly developed problem solving aptitude. The ability to read, evaluate, test and repair relevant program code and data queries (including PHP, CSS, ASP, SQL) is also essential.

This is a new role within the Learning Technology Section and provides an exciting and challenging opportunity to become an integral part within an award winning educational technology development team.

Please note that this position is initially offered on a two year fixed term contract though there is a precedent within the Section for continuation.
