Rockstar North are hiring! Flash Developer, Edinburgh

Rockstar North is seeking a highly skilled Flash developer who has a strong understanding of Actionscript 2.0/3.0 and proven experience within their field. Successful applicants will have a compelling portfolio demonstrating their ability and expertise in developing content across a range of media.

Responsibilities
Being part of a UI team to develop and implement UI systems in game.

Qualifications
Highly skilled Flash developer who has a strong understanding of Actionscript 2.0/3.0

Skills

• 3+ years at writing clean efficient AS2.0 and AS3.0
• Solid working knowledge of Actionscript and OOP concepts
• Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, XML
• Optimisation both code and graphics
• Skilled in debugging
• Understanding of timeline and programmatic animation
• Attention to detail

Desired

• In depth knowledge of Scaleform GFx
• Experience with version control SVN, TRAC, Perforce, Alien Brain
• Working knowledge of other scripting languages such as PHP, ASP.NET, C++
• Experience with UNIT testing

The engagement is on a short term contract or would suit a freelancer developer able to work out of our offices in Edinburgh.

We would be looking for someone to start immediately for a three month term.
